I’m interested to hear from everyone reading, What Host Do You Use?
I use and endorse Hostgator, but I know alot of people use something different.
Please make a comment to this thread letting me know what hosting service you use.
If you do, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to get a sneak peak of Firepow as a beta tester…
Look forward to your responses!

I use 1&1. I really like them for their excellent support and lots of included products (unlimited domains, SQL dbs, email, etc.) for a reasonable price. The downside is that they do things differently than the way a lot of IM products seem to assume (no cpanel, no public folder, etc.). Still, the couple times that I’ve tried other hosting companies, for a specific IM product that required cpanel, I’ve liked the 1&1 GUI a lot more (though of course it’s easier to like what you’re used to).
I use Hostgator reseller hosting.. total freedom and relief…
I use a local company called WebAfrica. I have a reseller account, and as Debbie said, they too do things differently sometimes. But their customer service is speedy and reliable.
I have been using Hostgator since day 1 with no less than 20 domains on it.
My tracking SW reported 0% downtime which is extremely good.
But I heard that once your bandwidth hits certain number they ask you to upgrade even though you’re having what was supposed to be an unlimited account.
Hostgator reseller all the way. I like Bluehost too though.
Hostgator for me. 100% uptime in my experience…and easy to use
Like many I use Hostgator. Zero down time with multiple domains.
Shared hosting on Hostgator with 35 domains, 5 domains on Bluehost.
A little disappointed with Hostgator, normally fine, but back in Feb I did a little product launch, nothing major, I started to get reports that customers couldn’t get to the sales page, I checked and I couldn’t either, so I had a mad half hour at around midnight local time while I replicated the whole sales website on Bluehost, this fixed the problem.
However a couple of days later after raising a ticket on the support desk, Hostgator said they had no downtime, or server outage, so they couldn’t work out what went wrong.
It doesn’t fill me with confidence that things will work ok if I have a more popular launch in future.
As a customer of Andrew’s excellent Plug and Play Marketing Product
I naturally tried to use his recommendation of Hostgator. Hower they completely screwed up my registration and credit card payment attempt, so I went with Host Monster instead. Instant success. Just shows how important first impressions are, because I wanted to get started there and then! Host Monster have been pretty good I have to say with only one episode like Gary’s above nightmare in the last 7 months. Support is good as well via the instant chat.
I have reseller account with resellerzoom and am pretty happy with support and service. i am using it from last 1 year and its been consistent and at a very unbeatable price.
I got off the ground with Hostator because that’s what a certain person said I should use when I passed over the money for “plug & play”.
Then I got in with “Hostica” and finally I have made use of another here in the UK called 1&1 that someone else has already mentioned here.
I am supposed to be selecting the best as I can cut down on my costs but as yet there is nothing to choose between them.
I use Hostnine, reliable and awesome support.

I use HostGator, too. Overall, I love it. Their support team is fantastic (they’ve answered questions I’ve had at 3:00am), and it’s compatible with all the latest methods…(Fantastico rocks!) =)
I use Kiosk reseller titanium account. I have never had a problem that they couldn’t help me with. I highly recommend them.
I also use Hostgator, it’s service has been better than others I have tried.
I’ve been very happy with Hostgator which was recommended to me by me website tech. I still have the ‘Baby Croc’ account, but might change to reseller soon.
I started off with Resellerzoom, which I still have, but it is small on bandwidth. I also have a Hostgator baby croc account and have not had any issues over the last year. I am thinking of upgrading to the Hostgator reseller in a few months.
I have used Hostnine for my hosting since day 1 and have never had a real problem with them. Reseller hosting costs me $19.95USD per month.
Currently I have about 4 NMOC style WordPress blogs and 1 site with currently about 25 pages or so and all has been good.
I started with Ipowerweb about 13 years ago, but they grew too big too fast and their support fell away. I looked at most of the webhosting “rating” sites and narrowed it down to 3, Hostgator, Bluehost and MonsterHost (BlueHost subsidiary?).
Hostgator and Bluehost have also grown exponentially so I was somewhat concerned about their continuing support levels and decided to go with the smaller host in Hostmonster and to be honest, I haven’t looked back, and would highly recommend them!
I have hosted one of my sites through SiteBuildit over 3 years ago. And then used Midphase back in 06/07.
I now host my sites on Hostgator mainly because of recommendations. I certainly have no complaints with them.
I use HostNine. The price for a package is reasonable. The main reason though is that you can set up domains on about 10 different servers so you can do some interesting linking.

Well, it’s definitely Hostgator for me. I have used many automated site builders over the last couple of years and came to realize that only a host that provides a VPS or re-seller account with WHM is the only way to go. I tried Liquid Web and SLHosts, which were good but when crunch time finally hit, and it always does in this biz, Hostgator always responds nearly instantly and I have experience nearly zero downtime with them. I have consolidated all my website with them over the last several months and am very happy. I guess an added bonus is that since Hostgator is also such a widely known hosting company, I have found that promoting them through their affiliate program is very effective in such that my webhosting actually pays me now instead of the other way around! Does it get any better?

Barry Crewse
Hostgator and nothing but…
Had no troubles whatsoever uptime is 100% and when I first started up with them and didn’t have a clue what I was doing I found their support and help desk quick, helpful and responsive.
I have a hostgator reseller account and couldn’t be happier with it.
The customer service is excellent. Everyone I speak with at hostgator is so patient and very explicit in their insutructions whenever I call for some assistance. I usually don’t have to wait very long for a representative either.
I have used five different hosts and of them I like hostgator the best. exmasters.com is ok, very inexpensive and they allow adult content but they don’t offer cpanel which makes life so much easier. I also use imhosted.com, but do not recommend them – not that I’ve had any problems, but hostgator gives better value for the dollar..
Host Gator – Reseller – Aluminum – No Prob!
I started out with GoDaddy. And stayed with them. I’ve heard so many bad things about GoDaddy, but I’ve never had issues with them.
I use reseller accounts with Reseller Zoom and Hostgator, never a problem. On a couple occasions when I had questions, I got a meaningful response within an hour. Again, I’m satisfied with both of them, but I’m looking for other reliable hosting services to spread my sites geographically, so this post is very helpful.
I use Host Monster. Inexpensive and no problems.
I just closed down my hostnine account due to poor uptime. I’ve tried to open an account with hostgator but bizarrely they cannot process my zip code!
I’m in the process of consolidating my websites at HostMonster

I have 3 hosting companies: Hostgator. MidPhase. Micfo.
I have good luck with all of them. Each has a few peculiarities but I like not putting all my eggs in one basket.
I use Hostgator too, on Andrew’s recommendation from PnP. I like them so far…no real issues.
I have been using 1&1 for some time now… mostly because its cheap, and they offer free WHOIS privacy. Another good host is iWeb, they offer 10 years of hosting for like $200! (And their stock hasn’t done too badly either)
Using Hostgator Reseller for US websites and Titan Internet in the UK. Both recommended!
Have a few – most used are micfo and dreamhost. I’ve found it fine – micfo lets me have unlimited cpanels so good for websites that I manage that belong to other people (who also need fantastico to install things) but for my own small sites, tend to prefer dreamhost as it keeps it all in one place and I’m not having to remember all different logins.
I have a reseller account at Fat Host Network and will get a secondary one at HostGator soon.
Best
Martin
Hostgator and one at mymarketinggoldmine and one at citymax and one at GDI
I have tried several hosts in the past. The cheapest one I used was Santrex that was as low as 2.50$ per month for shared hosting. They also had great dedicated servers for the price, but they lacked a little support. I have also used Bluehost but right now majority of my sites are hosted on Hostgator and that’s the host I suggest to my clients too, because they can try Hostgator out for free the first month and make sure the service meets their needs.
I use Fatcow. Has everything for $77/year.
I probably used 10 times that price in phone calls
getting support when I first started learning how to do all the things you have to do to make a site run well.
They were like an audio ebook. Awesome. Excellent capacities.
Any way, what is meant by a reseller account?
Thanks, Trevor
I use Hostgator for most of my sites. I also have an Alpha Reseller account with Empire Resellers- only because Hostgator doesn’t offer anything beyond a reseller’s account.
I will add that I use Montastic to monitor my domain’s downtime. there are several free services out there and you really should monitor your site’s downtime to get a good idea on your webhost’s service.
