Today I’ve got my first ever guest post to share from you. It was shared to our Firepow forum members and I thought it was a great and simple tip so I wanted to share with you too! Here’s the post…
As you know, one of the best ways to get not only a good ranking in the search engines but actual traffic is to get some great inbound links. But, finding those links can sometimes be a problem. In fact, some people will pay hundreds of dollars for a high PR one way link. What if you could get some of those links not only free, but without a significant time investment?
Well, fortunately, Google can help us. The reason? There are many thousands of blogs that allow comments. This will let you make a pertinent comment and if it is accepted, there will be a link to your website included.
If you have been to a blog recently that shows comments, you will often see a form at the bottom where you can put your comment in. Commonly, there is a phrase asking for your comment. Most of the ones that I have seen have the phrase “leave a reply.” That makes it easy for us to find more! In fact, when I just checked, Google showed 24,400,000 listings. That’s a lot of potential links.
Not everyone will approve your comment, but it will happen often enough to make this effort worthwhile.
Finding a Place To Try For A Link
First, do a search for ‘keyword “leave a reply”‘ (replace keyword with a keyword in your niche). For instance – Firepow “leave a reply” if you are working as a Firepow affiliate.
You will turn up a lot of blogs with a post in your niche. And, more importantly, blogs that accept comments.
Making a Comment That Is Likely To Be Accepted
Once you find a blog post that you would like to make a comment on is only have the battle. Now, you want to make a comment that will be accepted. It may help you to try to think of the type of comment that you appreciate on your blog.
The ones that are the best are the ones that not only contribute to the ‘conversation’ but encourage further content. Remember, every time a pertinent comment is made, the content of that blog is improved. So, by making a good comment you are actually contributing something to the blog owner.
Here is one example of how to go about it: “I liked the information on …., but, I didn’t quite understand your point about …. Could you explain that a bit more?” This is only an example. Put your own spin on it.
Blog owners (like you) love it when they get a comment like this because 1) it will let readers know that your post was good and 2) it gives you the ability to expand on your post. Likewise, the blog owner is likely to not only accept your post, but to reply to it.
Now then, you will occasionally pull up one of your own posts in the search engines. What to do? Go ahead and leave a comment under a pseudonym and a link to one of your other blogs or hubpages – be creative. This is a good tactic for some deep linking.
If you make a few comments using these tactics every day, you will soon notice that you are getting higher placement in the search engines and your traffic will steadily increase. This is pretty painless, folks. So, get started now! I want to start seeing some of your comments on my blogs.

Another search I like to do is ‘keyword +commentluv’ or ‘keyword +keywordluv’ to find blogs with those plugins which will create a link to the last post on your blog! Wonderful way to get good quality backlinks
