Yo,
I learned of a crazy cool new link building strategy that I just HAD to share with you. Here goes:
There’s this site called ODIOGO right…
Basically if you have a blog and an RSS feed, it can convert your written articles into Mp3 Audio files…
Now why is that important?
Well…
When you have an RSS feed URL for audio content, you’re officially a PODCASTER!
If you’re a podcaster, you can submit your RSS feed URL to [tag]PODCAST[/tag] directories…
Which means… BACKLINKS! And not just links but traffic too. In the few days since we’ve utilized this tactic we’re getting links flying in from everywhere and a substantial traffic increase to boot.
I won’t explain how to use it but go there and register an account and you’ll probably work it out

This is a ripper strategy and you’re weird if you don’t use it
I’ll keep you posted on the results of this test.

I noticed that Odiogo’s mp3 files for blog posts published in Aug 2007 are no longer available. Still, this is a good way to grab short-term traffic.

For me it was more about links than traffic but to add to what you said…
From what I understand, once you submit your RSS Feed to them, they continually update your profile and keep converting your new content to audio as well (don’t quote me on that – I’ll double check) but that being the case your traffic and new incoming links should remain relatively steady..

Excellent recommendation and extremely cool service/promo opportunity. But…
…It appears we’ve broken the website with the flood of activity after you generated with this recommendation!
I signed-up last night and have been waiting patiently for them to finish working through my posts so they can send me my feed ID. When I tried checking the site this morning – nothing!!! I just get a pageload error message.
Let’s hope they work out the kinks fast because this is a cool and useful idea.

Your podcast directories link is broken…
Too bad the voice speaking the blog post sounds really bad. It’s almost laughable.

The podcast directory seemed to have a problem at their end. I think the link is working now though.

Yeah the voice does suck, but like I mentioned above, it’s more about links than direct traffic for me.
That said, I didn’t find the quality too bad compared to other text to voice converters – but hey I’m no technology buff in that area so who knows..
