So if you caught this last post about my long tail keyword traffic experiment, you might be curious to see what happened.
Interestingly…
So basically, in the 14 days of the experiment, we’ve posted one article per day to the site which was already indexed but basically nothing else, no real traffic to report.
As expected the growth has been slow since the new content is slow being indexed as the site doesn’t get much spider activity. Nevertheless, recall that the posts were made on keywords with “reportedly” extremely low search volume numbers – usually around 100 searches per month.
The results are of course nothing to write home about but…
Well… check it out for yourself.
You’ll note that the small increase that occured from a day or so after the first post began, has more or less held steady. Not only that, it represents an increase in traffic that’s more than double for this site.
So right now, we can’t really say anything exciting about this site, or the worthiness of this experiment… BUT in the least, it’s interesting.
I am going to try to ramp up the spider activity with a few links just to the root domain to increase the speed at which the new content is getting indexed, purely for the sake of speeding up the results, as I’m getting impatient.
I think there’s about 15 articles to come (a few of which have already been posted) so I’ll continue to update you on the progress!
