If you’ve read much of my niche marketing stuff you’ll know how I talk about the building of links by using small ‘network’ sites on the social network/free blogging/free site creation platforms and linking them back to parts of your main focal blog/site.
Well here’s another one you can add to your list to gain a valuable backlink and added exposure…
Ebay!
You can create a free ebay account here and they give members the feature of creating their own blogs. You don’t have to run auctions or anything but you can start making a blog to promote any of your sites, any time you like.
Here’s an example of an SEO guy using an ebay blog for some [tag]link building[/tag] – you’ll notice the links he has pointing back to his sites with certain anchor text:
http://blogs.ebay.com/thinkofway
Go create your own ebay blog and get some links for your own niche sites now!

Hey Andrew, I’ve been doing this as well. It’s a good tip. A link from ebay is good for your niche site.
By the way, don’t forget to create an about me page as well. You can add up to 3 links.
But be careful… Read the tos first because links should point to a product you are actually selling on ebay!
Can you still do this? I ask because the link doesn’t appear to work.
