It’s pretty rare that I read an ebook someone sends me and feel like it’s worth it’s price.
I know you guys know that. In fact I spend more time bagging products than I do recommending them. Furthermore, I do most of my own learning from free methods, so most of the time it’s hypocritical of me to recommend you to buy every second product like some marketers do…
Today I got a report from a guy who’s also an Aussie – actually he lives only an hour a way from me – that had just launched and was on dominating niche markets…
I’d actually met him around the tracks, talked to him online before – even invited him out to lunch in his neck of the woods recently, only to have my email ignored – (haha no offence taken mate – I’m sure you were busy with the launch)
Anyhow I started reading over this thing today and I was actually quite impressed.
I don’t know whether you guys can tell this too, but when I read an ebook I can tell when the person writing is regurgitating theory, or speaking from actually having done the thing.
It was obvious to me that this report fell into the latter. He talked about various strategies and deals he’d pulled (that he says you too can do) that involved easy pocketings of $20k plus and I actually believed him.
Anyway…
Also when I read an ebook, being a writer of them myself, I have in the back of my mind “How helpful will this be to people?”…
I wonder about how usable the information is, how much does it motivate the person to act on it, how clear are it’s instructions, how easy would it be for someone to actually make money with it… things like that
Also of course, I think about how unique the information is – if I feel like I’ve heard it all before I won’t read past the first couple of chapters.
Like so few reports – heck almost none – this report passed on all the above criteria.
It’s 90 pages, and is written focusing on a number of simple online business strategies that allow you allowing you to create income that is, as JD says “MIF – Monthly, Instant and for the Future”
He actually shares many of my own philosophies on finding the best niches, creating content, SEO and more – and he combines it with a knowledge of direct marketing that allows you to turn that stuff into cash (rare).
It’s not necessarily the kind of “step by step” blueprint report I’m usually fond of. The reason I liked this is that the quality of the ideas and the likelihood of someone like you or me achieving them outweighed the necessity for excessive explanation.
It’s also cool because you can tell it’s not written by a guru, it’s more like a real guy who’s gotten a start like you and me, just REALLY wanting to make money. Some of the strategies are weird, some of them are a bit cheeky, some are downright money hungry and instant gratification seeking – the same stuff I normally abhor but for some reason, I think alot of people will get alot of good out of this report.
Anyway it’s not cheap, one of the new “in fashion” $77 ebooks (did anyone notice how the norm for an ebook increased from $47 to $77 recently?) but if you have some spare cash lying around, this one’s worth a read.
Actually no scratch that, not worth a read… worth an ACT! Here’s the link:

Hi Andrew,
I must have not gotten that email about the lunch, otherwise I would have jumped all over it! Let’s do it soon!
JD
JD,
You were probably out “clipping” some one (haha, loved that line)
Yeah me and another 4 marketers met up – it was the guys I mentioned to you in PM in the WF a few months back. Anyway we’ll certainly do it again soon!
Nice job on the book btw
Andrew
