So you remember my post last week, guest written by Squidoo Expert PotPieGirl right?
I thought that really needed to be expanded upon, and in fact, that I needed to do that which I rarely do and that is make a serious recommendation to you.
I read over her One Week Marketing report the week before last and it’s that which made me want to get in touch with her, and have her guest post on this blog.
The report is about getting up and running with profitable web properties, both on your own sites and social content sites… as quickly as possible…
Most of us know that properties like Squidoo and Ezinearticles.com can get you fast rankings in the search engines and a couple of quick commissions quickly… before dropping off into oblivion and leaving you no better off than before you started…
But not if you do it properly!
That’s where PotPieGirl (or PPG as I now call her) and her skills come in…
She knows how to get the quick rankings but WITHOUT the drop, and how to structure your niche business around it so even if you DO get that drop, it doesn’t kill your business or your income.
There’s a couple of things that I REALLY liked about her approach that I think are unique and important, especially if you’re looking to increase the speed at which you become profitable with your web real estate.
First, she’s smart. She knows that sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, Wikidot, etc, are great for fast rankings, but to use them for the entirety of your money making portfolio without integrating the use of your own sites (blogs if you’re like me) is dumb. Furthermore, she has some cool ideas on integrating the two platforms, both free sites and your own hosted sites in ultra profitable ways – like leveraging the traffic, interlinking, and content sharing that are very important.
Second, she shared some killer resources that I didn’t know about..
1. There is a great section on getting your sites quickly indexed in the search engines and getting some quick backlinks the moment your site is set up. My sites get indexed fast enough, but I really didn’t know about these little tricks.
2. There are 5 sites in total that she mentioned for getting quick links that help get your site indexed in “hours”… not too shabby at all.
3. I also learned from it how to “ping” Squidoo lenses to attract more search spider activity… yeah… I didn’t even know pinging a lens was possible.
So I’m reading through and feeling a little embarrassed at this point as to how little I know about using Squidoo for marketing…
4. I also found a couple of points that showed me that some of the strategies I’D been using with Squidoo were in danger of getting my lenses closed – Phewf, that saved me some money.
5. Carrying on, something I found interesting was the discussion of actually getting traffic to your lens from squidoo.com itself, something that a lot of people talk about but few know how to do. She shares some tips for actually leveraging the traffic that Squidoo.com gets to get traffic from the SQ. community to your lenses – very cool. Another stream of traffic for if your search rankings falter.
6. Further in there’s ideas on integrating your lenses with your blogs for more traffic, creating more article content quickly, and monetizing your content in the right ways with the right offers.
Maybe the best thing about it is that it’s set out in a “day by day” format, giving you simple tasks to implement on a daily basis. You can get all it’s tasks done in one week (come on, if you can’t commit to a course of action for 7 days you need your head examined) and then you’re done, ready to claim all the new traffic and sales that this effort will yield.
So One Week Marketing gets my highest recommendation. You’ll love it because it’s obvious you’re reading from someone who knows because she DOES. And at the end of the day, doing what it says will generate you more traffic and more sales from your sites – that’s all that matters.

I actually did a little 2 month test study on this and didn’t get great results with Squidoo (squidoo has never loved me though) but was able to move the same strategy to hubpages for better results.
I would be wondering with the changes happening at squidoo if this is still a sound system to work with.
My overall opinion is this is a good system for those who are new or haven’t built their own methods of making money but if you have been doing it for a while, then chances are you already know and implement most of the strategies.
I agree with Leo. Even I have never had great results with Squidoo. On the contrary, I think hubpages have provided me with better results not just in terms of affiliate sales but also in terms of adsense revenue.

Know what’s funny? I’m just the opposite – I haven’t had great results with HubPages…lol! Apparently, many folks have had good results, so perhaps its time I get back in there and see what I can do.

You and I have talked about this before – OWM works with all types of 2.0/ free-to-use web properties, not just Squidoo.
I’m just a big fan of Squidoo therefor it is my website of choice.
As for the Squidoo policy changes… Yes, OWM is still a perfectly sound system to follow.
And you are absolutely correct, One Week Marketing is designed for those that are new, have an over-load of info in their head, and need a plan to take action.
That’s the place *I* was in when I designed OWM for myself. That info over-load can be a killer!

I’ve had the product since day one and find both the product and owner to be top notch. And I’ve made some nice coin too. This system is really what you bring to the table.
No work output equals no money plain and simple.
What I really appreciate about Jennifer is she is always on top of her game and sends her ebook customers timely updates to address any market changes like Squidoo and Google as well as nice bonus reports which is something I cannot say for most IM product creators.

I have glanced through the PPG’s report on Squidoo, and I am getting ready to set up a couple of lenses. I actually have one on Squidoo somewhere. I love step by step stuff, especially if it is written, and not on audio or video. I don’t haev the patience for that stuff.
Oh – I had meant to tell you earlier that I thoroughly enjoyed your report on 1000 new visitors in 30 days. Outstanding!

I love the step-by-step stuff, too. It’s funny, people think I just write things out step-by-step for them, when in fact, it’s how I originally write it out for MYSELF..lol!
The ‘self-education’ of all this internet marketing mumbo-jumbo is a real booger – I really appreciate when someone says, “Do this, now do that, then do this..” etc. That’s why I created OWM in that manner… Day 1 do this, Day 2 do that, etc.
I didn’t want to be someone who added MORE to the confusion!

Andrew, as a recent subscriber to your FP, i am also happy to read of your
endorsement of PPG. I had bought her material a couple months ago, read it, and as usual, haven’t taken action on it. What’s stopping me I’m not exactly sure. Maybe info. overload with all the hype emails of dif. and ” No work required” products.
Anyway, I’m glad that someone of your knowledge can see her as an excellent marketer. I know her from another program I was in and I will begin to implement her strategies with FP. I will now be held accountable since I’ve made this admission on your blog, in public.

Squidoo has always been great for me, but only in the last few months did I realize that I needed to focus more attention on leveraging its power to increase the exposure and influence of my own websites.
Anyone who participated in article marketing should strongly consider spending some of their time, money and content on Squidoo lenses.

I’m in the process of building a niche blog for the first time through another excellent system, The Niche Blogger by Amy Bass.
