I’m frustrated today.
I’ve reached a point where I need to take some solid action to do fight against both the tangible and intangible “enemies” of online marketers like us…
I’m ready to make a stand.
What the heck am I talking about?
Basically I’ve decided to write a new report, fresh for 2009…
The report is going to be an attempt to carry you on my shoulders as I wade through a maze of fluff, filler, and BS and cut you through to the end zone of quality, real, updated, “what you NEED not WANT to hear”, information about making big money online in 2009.
Oh and BTW – the report is going to be free, or maybe $1
I’ve got a bunch of ideas down on paper right now but I need your help to finish them off.
So tell me please, what’s one thing you’re dying to know right now about generating traffic, optimizing your blogs, article marketing, SEO, niche research, or anything else.
I’ll try to include as many of the answers as possible.
Can’t wait to hear from ya!

I’d like help designing high-converting pre-sell landing pages with links to clickbank affiliate sales pages. I know how to get traffic, but I need to improve the conversion rates.
Traffic… although I just today listened to something that said traffic was not the problem. I disagree. 1 in 200 (Ed’s lowest) is a lot better conversion rate when you have 1000 visitors a day than 10 or even 100
I’m always confused regarding how to determine how much competition is too much competition in a perspective niche market….
SEO, Article Marketing, More Link Building Strategies and Additional Conversion Tips.. Loved your NMOC and Pnp report man! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!!
I am failing in all catagories in the IM field. i am so depressed about what to buy becuase everyday their is always something new that pops up that is supposed to be the best thing out there. i am losing confidence and trust in this whole internet marketing thing. at 1st, it was fun but now, lot of money spent, no sales, frustration, etc… i spend hours and hours a day before and after my real-life shitty job to try as hard as possible to make something out of this. i would be happy to make 50 bucks a day doing this if i could but for some reason, i cannnot make any money at all. all i do is learn, learn and learn and no results. all i hear is buy this, buy that and i do buy to be dissapointed. i am a newbie still even after 3 solid months of doing blogs, domains , feeder sites. and still no sales. i completely failed at Google adsense, and even worse, google adwords. it chewed up whatever money i had in my bank account. so , you wanted a serious answer, well here it is.
* How to best use your RSS feeds
* Which plug-ins are the most useful
* blog seo
My most pressing problem is the numbers of traffic, as just a ferw of my sites are making money and non of these are blogs. And where is the “work smart, not hard” gone, if I feel like the slave of my work online? I do have no time for anything else while not making enough to cover even my cists, and this really sucks Andrew.
That good news Andrew… looking forward to getting this once complete.. as for me… I’d say I need to know more strategies about article marketing.
Andrew, thanks for asking for input. I think the biggest problem is weeding through the massive amounts of information. It seems like there’s a new product launch every day (maybe some exaggeration here). Each guru says something different…membership sites…mini-sites….blogs,,,,squidoo. I’m sure they are all right. But a beginner needs a real mentor, a mentor that cares, a mentor that says,”Look this is the way to start and if you do what I tell you to do, you will be successful.” Then the student needs step by step daily instructions. Accountability is also key. The student has to figure out a way to be held accountable to the process. Thanka again
Andrew — the question that I hear from people all the time is “how do I make money online.” This is a really hard question to answer, because the answer depends on the business model that a person chooses.
So, I think a question you should tackle is what should a total newbie do to make some money to get started (and avoid buying 17 ebooks on 13 topics with 19 bonuses).
Another question would be how do you decide what affiliate products to promote via blogging — how do you pick the good ones.
Regards,
Mark
I would like to know more on finding profitable niches lightning speed fast to furious action style not the ordinary way where we go to every forum on the net and do searches each thread to find profitable one.
Thanks in advance
SEO, and listbuilding with a blog, please, Andrew.
Hi Andrew
Would definetly appreciate some pointers on converting traffic into actual sales.
Thanks for your advice
It would be nice for a very detailed niche manual maybe something about traffic.
1. Niche Research eg: this amount of search volume, this amount of results, this CPC
2. More and link building strategies….
Paul
I will like to know more about link building and blog optimization.
‘How To Focus’ is a big problem I see. What do you use and what do you reject? How do you get out of the ‘email trap’ on the ‘next big thing’?
The word “Secret” is so overused in todays Internet marketing world that it has no meaning anymore.
How do you find the time and resources to avoid duplicate content if you have several sites or blogs – or – really how much of a factor is duplicate content in the first place?
I want to chime in with Mark Moses and David Lee. It seems we all (or at least a lot of us) are trying to make this so much more complicated than it needs to be! And I think the main reason is because of too much info being thrown at us constantly. I know people are at different levels, so I think it would be SO HELPFUL to have two sections in your report/book: 1) VERY basic step 1, 2, 3 scenario of what you MUST do to get started: focus in on the basics to help overcome the analysis paralysis and just take ACTION. 2) Once that step is complete, more detailed instruction on how to fine-tune things, more info on traffic, SEO, conversions, etc. I know that’s asking A LOT. But it sure would help!!!!!
How about sorting out the traffic sources and which ones are good for which. For example, articles will bring you backlinks as will social bookmarks here, here and here, but blog commenting and Squidoo lenses (for example) will bring you human traffic. Social networking there and there may bring spikes of traffic, but how to make them buy?
So, which one(s) do you start with, automate, do manually, etc.? Since Firepow helps you tackle a lot of these, and a lot of newbies are confused about the differences and similarities (social networking/social bookmarking) I’m pretty sure you already plan to cover this, but just in case, that’s my suggestion.
Is there a good source teaching selling a blog at sitepoint?
How about sharing a business model with us that works. Then we will know that we are not just purchasing shovels.
Jim
Thanks Andrew for asking!
It would be great if you could shed some light on how to find great niches.
Looking forward to the report and becoming a member of firepow family.
We need to be asking ourselves a question first, are we looking for businesses or are we opportunity seekers?
I think it’s too much to ask an open question like that because there are way too many variables involved to possibly address.
That’s why it’s so hard to start at what should be the beginning for most of us, it’s all different
There’s the skill level of the person, the interests of the individual (they’ll need a (profitable) niche they’re passionate about) to be able to stick with it and get through the tough times at the beginning.
I had a year invested and gobs of money before I figured out how to fine tune things and pick a fight I liked and could win at and it’s still taking time to unfold the way I’d like it to.
I ended up choosing membership sites (a great business model) and now I’ve evolved to helping offline businesses have better websites and adding membership sites to get consistent income.
I think you should maybe pick your best and most successful topic and niche for making money because you know it and then ask us again.
What would you like to know about making money in the “your niche” space ?
Thanks for being frustrated with us just the same.
Take care, Rick Falls
Traffic is the big issue – how to generate enough quality backlinks to improve ranking in the search engines. Without traffic (and it must be qualified traffic) you have no way of testing to improve conversion. Without traffic, you can’t even develop an opt-in list. But any traffic had better encounter some quality content or the bounce rate will be high. Content can be tweaked, but the foundation is traffic.
Thanks Andrew,
1. Fast Accurate Profitable Niche Finding – process, criteria, perhaps you know of a top down filtering process
2. Pre-Sell techniques
Your information was a break through for me several months ago(not at the above site). Now I will hook up the above site with another soon to follow.
Hi Andrew,
There have been a lot of talk on recent controversial traffic to sales conversion issues dominating the internet about clickbank. I am a recent victim of the situation and it is not going down well with sudden cuts in revenue from non-IM, proven winner niches.
I noticed a lot of affilate marketing programs are still currently geared towards how to sell clickbank products.
Would you maybe provide some guidance in your ebook on alternative programs which affiliate marketers could look at?
Hi Andrew,
Great that you take the time to ask this question. I think I know the answer. Which is that we all have holes in are knowledge and that hole is where we stumble. It could be traffic or conversion; but essentialy it is guidence and mentorship to get past the hole helped someone that has been there seen it and done it. I am a member of GoogleConquest and have gone from 3 sites in 4 years on the net to having made 20 blogs. At the moment I have made no cash cause I am now adding adsense and affiliate products. But because I have Alex and Brian taking me by the hand, if I hit a hole and can’t get out they are there to help. This I think is what IM needs more of. The ebooks don’t give you enough and video will not fix your problems. Look forward to receiving your guide.
Regards Richard J Butler
There is a huge lack of good tips for blogs on Blogger.com. All I see are WordPress plugins and techniques everywhere.
Blogger is owned by Google! Can you include some good stuff for us about traffic and monetization? That would be a big help.
I dread the thought of moving the content on my 15 Blogger blogs to a different blogging platform.
It would be very helpful to have
a case study of the thought process you went through when you selected an actual successful niche. The process case study that you did within Firepow on how you set up a blog to get traffic was very useful. It made the whole process seem more do-able than just reading generalizations. Also, a big issue for me is how to create a professional appearing site that will help conversions when I only have limited web master experience.
Hi Andrew,
Great idea, there are so many frustrated IM people out there.
I think my biggest problem is finding a product that will sell, one that people really want where the market is not completely saturated already.
Leslee
I am optimizing some blogs using long tail keywords. The niches I choose have some high paying adsense ads, but how do I attract those ads when my keywords are somewhat different?
I know it is supposed to be easy to find products to sell once you find a niche, but I find it very difficult. You always have to apply, and then often they want to see a working web site before they approve you. It just seems that I’m getting stuck over and over again.
When I do choose a product, no one buys it—even when the niche is a good one. I have your original course, so I saw how you did it, and I’ve seen others demo it, but….just not working well for me.
i agree with david lee and mark jones – cant make money online had 5 lenses and 13 articles up and no sales, unsure how to generate quick trffic and how to word things to get people to buy product i am recommending
All of this niche marketing, blogging, and driving traffic is overwhelming. There is not a day that goes by that I do not receive the next greatest offer that is going to change the way marketing online is done. The latest and greatest SECRETS that will allow one to earn a full time income online.
What I would like to see is a comprehensive guide to cut through the maze and allow anyone (particularly the newbie) a way to gradually and consistently earn an income online
Hi Andrew,
Welcome to 2009!! You continue to amaze me with how much of a real person you are, thats one of the biggest compliments I think I can give someone in the IM arena, keep up the phenomenal work.
I would like to see some Case Study type material- PROOF, details of particular tactics that work. But specifics, such as “got xx amount of visitors from x articles at x site” Have x amount of backlinks from these sources etc, etc
Too often you hear – “do this it works” and it seems that ‘it’ works by selling people information on how to do ‘it’ (But you are different)
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for asking that
It will be a great help to the newbie (like me) if you can provide us step-by-step guide in identifying the niche market and working with SEO.
Thanks in advance.
Please cover some more advanced methods as all free resorces, many ebooks even mentoring sort of courses still cover the basic stuff.
Some of your readers are already marketing online hence have exposure to many tricks already so something that adds a twist what’s common knowledge would be great.
I would like some tuition on how to add different headers, images and the like to Wordpress Blog Themes. For Instance some of the header panels are a bit dull and could, I believe be brightened up with an image or two from my files. Now…I have no idea how to do that….
Next question for me….How Andrew do I make enough money to get me the monthly subscriptin to “Firepow”?
This really sounds nice and cannot wait to see the results. Would always like more info about generating traffic. Also would like to see something on finding a source for getting inexpensive graphics done, also for doing it yourself. Good luck and I will be looking forward.
What is the best way to find profitable niches? I would like step-by-step criteria for finding a niche that would be profitable.
info on plugins please, how to sort the wheat from the chaff and which are best for IM related blogs
Linking to quality directories brought very good results for me in the past but the problem is that I need to dedicate a time slot for this activity and time is very scarce that I had to drop this part which I would like to use again if there is a way.
I would agree totally with Jeff on the landing page point. If there are drag and drop tools out there to create such pages, it would be wonderful.
Andrew,
I would like to know how to build a blog that have a post page with a free download product without sending them off the blog sight.
Traffic ! Traffic .. My friend. . . Not just ping here and there and bookmark here and there without getting quality traffic.
It would be good to get detailed instructions how to build the list. And some fresh ideas how and where to get more content for articles and posts. That will greatly improve chances for profitable business.
What does Google Punish-Really?
Duplicate content on your site & how to avoid it?
http://www.site.com and site.com are duplicate addresses and content -how to avoid?
reapeated affiliate links -how to avoid?
Any spun content penalty/ how detected/
thanks Andrew
Hey Guys,
Can’t thank you enough for the suggestions!
Alot of them I had already included and alot of them I will now be including.
The report is about half done now so I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Andrew
David Lee;
Been there.
But here’s the thing that I experienced:
A lot of peole buy all the new things (my self included) in order to make a quick buck. Try the stuff, see no results, lose money and then give up. Process repeated…
Now, you said you “learn , learn , learn” and no money made. So what? You KNOW alot. Now, do this; write down a step by step process, make it as simple as possible. See if you can find some automation tools to make backlinking easier etc. Stick to a certain system for X weeks or X websites. See if you can get SOME KIND of result, then OUTSOURCE the whole damn process!
For 3-6 bucks an hours you can get someone to do maybe 90% of the process…while YOU work at your day time job.
I know my problem is implementation. I really suck at implement the stuff I know. For me 2009 is going to be about implementation and I will use outsourcing to do most of it, while I can keep on learning new stuff that I can pass on to my outsourcers to implement.
IMO Its all about knowledge & implementation big scale!
I know your frustration ,,, Been there… Just hang in there and get a process and follow it like a slave for a while to see if it works. Then outsource the stuff to replicate your self 10 folds…
Best
Martin
Hi Andrew,
I’m using Blog Colony that you are working with Alex Goad on. I’m still finding it difficult to understand how you create lots of posts targeting different keywords so as not to be penalised for keyword spamming of your main keyword without creating too much competition for the alternative keywords.
For instance, I do my keyword research and find a keyphrase that ticks all of the boxes for competing pages, adword cpc and searches per month. I create my main page targting this phrase properly but then I have to create lots of posts on the same subject but not targeting my main keyphrase because Google will penalise me for keyword stuffing, yet if I select other keywords from the list that I came up with in my research these are generally much more competitive. I guess my question is I need more detailed information on keyword research and usage.
Thanks,
Trevor
How can firepow help add ebay and amazon & clickbank feeds to a blog!!
