I’ve estimated recently that for every 10 loser, douche bag, hype machine marketers that I meet or come across their material, I meet one or two that I come to like, respect, and listen to when they talk about making money online.
I got chatting to one such fellow on Twitter recently and this week finally got to catching up with him on Skype… He’s a gentlemen after my own heart, big into using his affiliate cash for travel and enjoying a free, nomadic lifestyle. I envied his videos from a recent trip to Cuba, somewhere I’m dying to travel.
Anyway, he mentioned a couple of things to me on skype that piqued my interest, some of the ways he was generating free, high quality buying traffic outside of the search engines and pushing it towards high payout affiliate offers.
I watched one of his videos that contained a strategy that I thought you might enjoy, something that (while I don’t buy many IM products anymore so I may not be the best judge) I hadn’t seen tought before that definitely had some unique insights into profitable affiliate marketing.
His name’s Peter and the video is below:
WARNING: Don’t freak out, but the video IS on a squeeze page… It’s not a big sell, and I promise you that there’s solid content in the video that you will learn from. I also think if you’re smart you can implement the strategy just from seeing what’s in the video. If you like the content, you can enter your email, otherwise, ignore it and take notes from the video.
NOTE: The first chunk of the video is about niche research, and I think if you’ve been reading my material or blog for a while you could afford to skip it, but the strategy for traffic generation that starts about 10 minutes into the video is killer and you can forward straight to that point if you’re short on time.
What I like about it is that it definitely seems like a strategy that can help you generate FAST cash. As much as those words are a joke in this industry, and generally not something you want to strive for, you’ll see when you watch it that the traffic you could get from this strategy could begin flowing within days of getting it setup, no waiting for anything to get indexed and ranked in the SE’s.

Its good quality and I’ve watched it again from the begining. I agree the traffic trick is cool to date I’ve only seen it from Peter. I havent found the time to try it out but I’ll definitely try it out when I set up my new project to test the power of this sneaky trick.

Uh, went for the signup to see his videos of “newbie” that “raked in” yadda yadda. There is a video that shows some guy showing how high he ranks on the SERPS – for keywords that have ZERO SEARCH TRAFFIC.
This dude Peter is really REALLY selling to newbies if he wants you to believe that because there are millions of results in Google for a “keyword”, and you are on the first page, that’s a good thing, by itself. Why d’ya think it’s so easy to rank duh.

Thanks for the friendly replies, for any unfriendly replies I can say that there is no worries with stepping up to the plate and showing what works. One of the things millions of marketers don’t understand is its not that important for search volume to find the actual buyers.
There are niches that have literally 1000 searches a month, but I can guarantee you that 10% – 20% of those searches are buyers specifically looking to buy. So those are the niches that my students (many that are now doing high 5 figures and six figures per year) tap into.
Other marketers want to compete with high volume search terms where the competition is cut throat and many marketers lose their shirts trying to keep their commissions.
Believe me I figured this stuff out a very long time ago, and I’d rather dive into a niche that has 1000 searches a month with 10% – 20% of those searches being buyers and selling them a $97 – $197 product on the front end and back ending them into many times a $497 product or above.
Its easy money that everyone else leaves on the table so myself and my students and other sharp marketers that I work with, will go in and clean up
When you really understand keyword research you’ll know that Google doesn’t buy your products and services, people do. So some of your most profitable keyword searches are people oriented rather than actual traditional keyword based.

Almost 99% of my niche marketing is outside of the IM niche, there’s way too much competition when you have to compete with the giant names, and there is boatloads of money to be made outside of the IM niche.
Once you make the money outside of the IM niche, then you can come back and share with the big boys and girls (which I’ve done) and they turn around and want to “crack” your head open to get at your secrets
My saying is “Why fight like cats and dogs for scraps of food under the table, when you can sit at the head of the table and eat like a King.”
In closing I’d like to engage in the comment that says I’m preaching to the newest of newbies.
This is not the case if you actually run through the content that I’ve provided you’ll know that a lot of it is not basic, and to let you know many marketers like Marlon Sanders, Yanik Silver, Frank Kern, love it. (actually been interviewed by Yanik Silver for his very high end newsletter for entrepreneurs) just to name a few.
Basic niche keyword is the foundation to niche marketing, if you don’t get it right, then nothing else matters when it comes to providing affiliate offers, and most think they have basic niche keyword research down.

Just wanted to make note of one thing Peter said which is very important:
“One of the things millions of marketers don’t understand is its not that important for search volume to find the actual buyers.”
I get asked the question alot “how much search volume is too low, when looking for buying keywords”. To which I reply, “If there’s a good buying keyword that only gets 100 searches a month, it IS worth targetting. If you’re ranking for that term and you pick up even 10 visitors a month, they are the visitors that will convert at the highest rate, so it doesn’t take many of them to generate a sale or a sign up.
Even if it’s worth one sale a month, that’s an easy sale since the term with 100 searches a month is likely not going to be too hard to rank for.

The video was certainly informative. But Andrew, I think there are other forum sites like Wickedfire that can also bring lots of traffic to your site.
