It’s coming up to one of my favorite times of the year. The end of 07 and the beginning of 08…
It’s a great time to reflect on the year that has passed and plan for the year that’s to come.
I thought it would be a cool idea to make a post where everyone could leave their [tag]goals[/tag] as a comment for everyone else to see so we’re ALL committed to do what we say.
We’ll refer back to this post throughout the year, update each other on our progresses, kick each other in the pants when necessary and generally share the inspiration and power of a GROUP of individuals committed to achieving something they’ve deemed worthy.
I figured I’ll make a start.
I spoke to my accountant the other day…
After finally organizing my 07 tax return (an interesting experience by the way) I spoke to him about my financial concerns for the coming year. The last part of this year has been a bit frustrating for me because while I’ve been wanting to
1. Buy my own home and
2. Get a new car!
Banks here haven’t made it easy for me…
Everyone wants to see two years of company financials, (my ACTUAL company entity isn’t even a year old yet) a business plan, the works – and that’s just to CONSIDER lending me money. They don’t care about how much money I’m making, how much I’ve got in the bank (even if it’s at THEIR bank) – all fair enough I suppose but it’s frustrated the heck out of me.
ANYWAY…
The good news was that after a chat with my accountant we’ve come up with a plan for how I can achieve 1 and 2 in the new year and with much less hassle than I thought!
It’ll mean putting a nice big deposit away for a house and getting a lot of finances/tax stuff sorted out promptly but I KNOW I can do it!
Here’s a pic of the car I’ll be aiming for:

That one’s currently for sale around my area but will no doubt be gone by the time I’m ready to buy but HOPEFULLY another one like it will be available!
And the house, well I’m leaving it open at this stage but I’ve picked an area that’s got promising growth potential around where I live here in Queensland and one that has some homes that are GREAT value.
It’s more the kind of house that will be a great first investment rather than the kind I’d post on a sales letter saying “look how cool my house is!” but the house MIGHT end up looking something like this (this is in the same area, same KIND of house and around the same price) :

Oh and just for fun, I’m THINKING about buying one of these (AFTER I get the house and car out of the way – maybe as a reward!) although my girlfriend thinks it will be a waste of money
http://www.brp.com/en-AU/Products/SeaDoo/Watercraft/Showroom/GTISE.htm
Ok now I’ve got NOWHERE to run with my goals for the new year – thousands of people will be calling me out if I’m not posting photos of me owning these things by the end of the year!
What are YOUR goals?
Post them here, post photos, as detailed as you want and we’ll all support you in achieving them. Whatever you post I’m sure someone here will know something about helping you achieve it – we’ll all help each other
Can’t wait to hear from you all.
Here’s to a great 08!
Andrew

Hey Andrew,
Great post. Great goals you are shooting for, but I would not listen to your girlfriend about the SeaDoo. You will definitely get your moneys worth out of it.
Shannon
Shannon,
Haha, I know – there are a tonne of canals and waterways around here so I think it would rock.
Now your goals mate, come on, everyone has to do it
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Just opened your e-mail and came to this nice-and-clean blog.
It’s a very timely post for me as well. It reminds me of a Harvard study about what a difference specific-goal setting can do to people’s success. (Those that set specific goals before graduation did much better than those who didn’t.)
Not that I’ve already made it. Far from it. I’m still a struggling computer programmer-turned Web developer/Internet Marketer. But I’m not giving up.
Thanks again for the post.
Oscar
PS: Btw, maybe you’ll be interested in this. It’s about how we can profit from 100% of our site visitors. It’s probably what we’ve been waiting for.

Let me know what you think about it.

One goal is to meet you, Andrew Hansen. I’ve been reading your stuff long enough and I don’t live far away. I want to meet you because I want us both to achieve our financial goals in 2008.
What are my financial goals? Similar to yours.
1)New house to help cope with my son’s Autism and Hyperactivity (ie, bigger n what we got, with solar heated pool so he can burn off all that energy).
2)New car (aka mum’s taxi).
3)Hire a private tutor/governess for all three of my boys to work alongside more traditional schooling to get the best for THEIR individual needs, rather than society’s convenience.
4)Create enough passive residual income to have the freedom to choose how I spend my time – so much to do, only one lifetime! A few things on my ‘to do before I die’ include volunteering in local school, having my own horse, being home for the kids, helping others with special kids, learn to play piano, learn kinesiology, and oh so many more!
I won’t be going for any kind of watercraft though – I get sea sick just looking at the ocean!
Hi Andrew,
Here are a couple of my goals:
1) Increase my monthly income by at least $1000 per month.
2) Reduce my debt load by $40 000 by the end of 2008
3) Take my family on a great vacation.
Monique,
AWESOME!
We can definitely meet up! Send me an email at andrew@nichemarketingoncrack.com so we can organize something.
Thanks so much for posting your goals too, they’re all fantastic! – you’re first cab off the rank (An Aussie saying for any yanks who are reading in bewilderment) too so hopefully we’ll open the floodgates to a mass of goal achieving energy (without sounding too much like a hippy)
All the best!
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Lofty, but I’m sure attainable goals for a young man like you!
My goals are simply to learn how to build a profitable empire of blogs using your great tools. This should be easy and some of it is, but I’m not techy at all and it is a slow go.
At this point any income will be encouraging and I will go on to build on that. When this is accomplished, just watch, my goals will be extremely higher!
Darcy,
AWESOME! Where is the holiday going to be to?
Bessie,
How you doin! Give us something specific that we can hold you to… you know the rules about being specific I’m sure. Even if it’s something small. You wanna make $500 a month? Put it out there so we can keep you accountable!
Wooo this is fun – keep em coming!
Andrew
Andrew great goals. I have had HUGE goals that I have not realized yet. So my 2008 goals are kind of modest.
1) Become a full time father of my son
2) To earn $100K online
3) Take my family out of the country
4) Purchase my first dream home
5) Write and publish my first book
Hi Andrew,
My first goal is to take my six kids on a holiday. And guess where we want to venture to from the deep dark south (Adelaide)- yep to sunny Queensland. My kids and I have wanted to go there for years and we had planned a trip, but sadly my husband passed away before our dream came to fruition. I’m aiming for July cos that’s supposed to be the best time up there I believe. Hey maybe we could catch up for a coffee when I get there!!
My second goal is to be well on the way to becoming debt free by the end of 2008. I want to have paid off my credit cards and be making enough by midyear to pay double my mortgage payment each month.
My third goal is to be able to start making regular contributions to a couple of charities that are close to my heart – CanTeen and Cystic Fibrosis. I would like to begin with ten dollars a week for each charity and then either increase the amount or support other charities that I consider worthy (e.g RSPCA or Animal Welfare League)
G’day Andrew & Team!
First of all, good onya for doing this mate – no achievement without accountability. It’s important we make our goals/objectives SMART –
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Time-based
This idea fits that to a T. Now to answer your original question, here goes…
I’m an Aussie veteran whose sole source of income is a disability pension I receive as a result of my war service. My wife is a current serving veteran in the U.S. We’ve been living here in Japan for the last 3 years. In this time, the Government has cut my pension (less than $2000 a month) by 40%. My wife has signed up for another 5 years because of this situation. She continues to risk her life daily in the current war that’s going on and shows no sign of ending in our lifetimes. As stressful as the current situation is, my time in the Army taught me that Hope is not a course of action and that no-one will carry your pack for you. So, in that vein…
My goal is very specific: if I can make a minimum of $100 a day profit by the end of this year, I will have replaced my pension and my wife and I can finally get our house. All I want is for her to not have to risk her life anymore just because she needs to put food on the table.
I purchased NMOC & PNP Niche Marketing. When the funds are there, I will be purchasing NEG from you. I think my goal is SMART, and I look forward to any assistance I can provide and/or receive from our team here.
Remember team, we don’t have to be perfect in the employment of our weapons, we just have to focus single-mindedly on one target at a time until we knock them all down.
Cheers
Jeff
Desmond,
How cool is that – where abouts in the world are you heading?
Anne,
NICE! July might be a tad cold if you want the typical gold coast beach holiday – I’d aim for say April or May when it’s just starting to get cool but the sun will still be out… Then again it’ll probably be sunny anyway. And yes I’ll certainly meet up with ya!
Jeff,
Great post mate! I’ll be making lots of posts here helping people get over that $100 a day line – I’ve got some new material on the way that I’m confident will help alot.
And where abouts in Japan are you from? I was there in August, we should’ve caught up!
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Wow, that’s a nice car. I’m sure you will reach your goals, mate.
Patrik’s Goals of 2008:
My main goal is to move out of our small 2 room apartment with my wife and two kids. To finaly earn enough money to get that loan and buy a house which has been my plans for years.
And if possible as a bonus I would like to take my family to a wonderful vacation.
Regards,
Patrik
Hi Andrew,
I am a fellow Australian – from Sydney!
Firstly, thanks for the reminder, it’s always important to keep the goals in mind, and refer to them frequently.
Secondly, thanks for the ebook Niche Marketing on Crack – I bought it on Thursday night last week, put up a website on Saturday, was indexed on Sunday, and earned my first EVER AdSense $$$’s on the same Sunday! And I also already rank #1 (out of 60) for the secondary niche keyword and #61 (out of 10,000) for the primary! One thing has happened though – the merchant’s website has been down since yesterday, so once it’s back up (I hope!!), I’m expecting some sales to roll in.
Now – to the goals. Mine is quite simple: make $50 a day profit from online ventures by the end of 2008. I am completely new to all of this.
So – Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year, may everyone’s goals materialise!
Greg
My goal is to quit my f_ing job. I hate my job that I have to work like a dog just to make end meet. I hope to make serious money online in 2008, so that I can work full time at home, enjoy life with my family. Don’t have to answer anyone’s question anymore.
Cheers,
Joe
Andrew,
I’m currently in Okinawa, but we’re relocating to California next month. I thought of shooting you an email when you were in Fukuoka with James Brown ( excellent interview, btw). It would be fantastic to have you both as mentors if you had the time…
The most powerful jolt I got from your interview was the point James made that most people in the ‘Make Money Online’ niche are dreamers. it really hit home that if you never act on the info, you’re just making wishes instead of moving inexorably towards your goals. I have to admit to collecting some awesome info, but being reluctant to act on it since I got burnt a couple of years ago. But this year is one for massive change…
You’ve got me itching to know what your next release will be as I’ve pretty much got a hold of everything you put out this year (just quality stuff all-round). I look forward to seeing what comes of this and best wishes to everyone else in their endeavours for 2008.
Cheers
Jeff
I want to have this 2007 – 8 C6 Z06 http://www.d2autosport.com/wheels/iforged/IFORGED%20500pixel/c6essen1920b.jpg
I don’t know how to do it. Everything I tried didn’t work so far. Mass frustration and misdirection with false information.
Thanks Andrew, I needed another nudge to get going on goals! Here’s my overall plan:
1. Watch 50% less TV, ideally by having 3 days a week when I don’t even turn the TV on. This will give me more time and focus for my business and personal pursuits, and it’s more a means to achieve my other goals than an end in itself.
2. Enhance my business (offline and online) to the point that I am easily bringing in at a minimum an additional $4000 per month.
3. Establish the two main parts of my business (Intelligent Insights and PeoplePetsPlanet) as solid entities providing valuable information and assistance to others, positioning me as an expert resource, and providing me with steady residual income.
4. Easily afford the improvements to my home that I plan to make: new landscape rock for the front and back yards (the desert alternative to a lawn!), new furniture for my sitting room/office, painting the exterior of my house, and hiring a maid to keep it all clean!
I need to flesh out my business goals a little more specifically to meet the SMART guidelines, but at least it’s a start!
Heidi
My gola for 2008 is to know when the all singing all dancing version of NEG is coming out
Oh my goals are simple and I am so gonna race it in 2008..!
1. Get me a Brand New $2000 HP High Performance Gaming Laptop – Am still 19 and love playing games
2. Buy my favourite car by the end of 2008…
3. Increase my daily income from $100/Day $500-700/Day
4. Get my mom whatever she wants and dreams to have…
See! simple… and my ultimate goal is to achieve these goals before the 3rd quarter of 2008 so am pretty much racing against ma goals..
Patrik,
You’ll get there mate, I’m sure
Greg,
They are MASSIVE results dude, congrats! And $50 a day by the end of 08? You’ll do it no trouble at all
Joe,
Haha, go for it man – loving that passionate hatred!
Jeff,
Glad you enjoyed the interview – from what I hear Okinawa is beautiful, you’re a lucky man. I’ll have more news on a new release soon!
Bender,
Yeeeew, that’s mean
Heidi,
I’m proud to say I watch literally no TV at all, so I can certainly help you with that! Having said that, TV is a lot better in the states, so it’s probably harder haha
Sounds like you got some exciting stuff to look forward to if you don’t watch TV so I’ll be holding you tighly accountable!
Mark,
The Beta version of NEG 2.0 is out now! – email me at andrew@nichemarketingoncrack.com and I’ll send you the info to get started! As for after that – it’s a secret
Abi,
If you can reach those goals before you’re 20 – I’ll hate you. Haha no way, I’ll be backing you all the way man. Good to hear you’re looking after the family too!
What a great post this is becoming – keep the goals coming!
Andrew
Great post, Andrew. And thank all of you who responded.
I get inspired by hearing about all of your goals.
My goals are to:
1) Spend lots more time with my daughter and wife
(God, kids grow up to fast…)
2) Become a full time Internet Marketer
3) Inrease my income to $10,000 per month
4) Attend at least 2 Internet Marketing Events
5) Continue to grow, learn and share what I know
to help others achieve their own goals.

Hey Andrew – fellow Aussie, Adelaide. I love reading your post, and I will sign up for the RSS. I have a lot of knowledge of marketing and business on the internet, great intentions (can see the money already!), but I somehow seem to fall short. I don’t know about anyone else, I am okay in writing a little comment, but filling my site (wordpress) with posts terrifies me. I can’t think of a thing, and worried about the people reading it! Is that normal, it’s like stage fright – ridiculous, how am I going to monetize and be able to earn an income?
Therefore, my goal for 08 – is to just DO IT..I have to get over the mental hurdle of writing posts , and recognizing that I will NOT be the next John Chow or other GURU, but maybe I can contribute something, and earn some money doint it.
Thanks for having this outlet and insight of you, I have followed all your products and in the Warrior Forum, great job!
Andrew,
This is a cool idea. They always say write down your specific goals and find the pics of the things you want to get, so hey why not here?
Big goal by end of ’08 is a home music studio like this one below:
http://www.thewealthyaffiliate.net/image/dreamstudio.jpg
The big rig guitar amp:
http://www.thewealthyaffiliate.net/image/bigrig-hk.jpg
…just to name a few.
I live in Budapest, Hungary. As you can probably guess some here or anywhere in eastern Europe for that matter are not too familiar with internet marketing or things like residual income, etc. “Walking away from the herd of sheep” is not so easy when it comes to the entrepreneur spirit. And unless you speak English, it’s not easy at all. But I know there are a few that are jumping into the game, So one goal is to help them become familiar with niche marketing and IM.
Helping others reach their goals I suppose can come back ten-fold. Right Andrew?
Ok specific goals are:
1) Reach $2000 month by end of March in IM. So far I’ve reached approximately $500 or so. How? Continue with article writing and submission. Blogging and Squidooing. Group forums and list building. PPC (not too much) and SEO. Ads ‘n whatever else that works.
2) Reach $10000 month by end of year. How? (same as above but now in automation
)
3) Diversify my income made by IM with other investments (real estate, trading…)
4) Travel to Mexico and South America with my Hungarian gf who has never been outside Europe.
5) Start writing, recording, and performing music once again.
I could probably list a few more but it’s a start. Thanks Andrew for your ideas, your products, inspiration and the opportunity to do this, mate.
Cheers,
Eric
Hi Andrew,
Its great to see some focus…
As for my goals for 2008 …
1) Able to earn atleast $ 5000 per month thru online ventures
2) to quit my day job and be there for my family when they need me.
3) want to drop and pick my kid to school and to spend time with her playing, teaching and enjoying every moment with her.
4) take my parents on a vacation to europe.
5) reduce the debts to a manageable proportion.
will keep u posted on my progress as we grow into 2008
Pavan
Hey Andrew,
My goal is to stop being a passive info sponge and put the stuff I know into action. Living off my savings for the past 2 years has really softened my discipline. Some positive motivations inspired by these comments and some good healthy fear (got 7 months of savings left) ought to do the trick. This will be the year that I actually generate an income and pay some taxes.
Here in the UK the weather is hardly for sitting out in, so you go ahead and enjoy your place in the sun. I’ll wrap up warm in this cold wind and keep on dumping umbrellas that turn inside out in the wind and rain! You wait ’till July though !!
Andrew, you have been a great help to me in the past month or so whilst I was trying to keep up to speed with your Plug and Play Niche Marketing and so I thank you for that.
My Goal for now is to get to figure out Smart ftp.
My version just somehow will not work at the click of a mouse. You make it look so easy in those excellent videos!!!
Then I want to find out how to set up these sales pages and websites people like you knock out, probably again at the click of a mouse.
One day maybe….
Great Stuff, keep it coming.
All the best for Christmas & The New Year
Brian.
Ok Dude I’m up for this.
1. BMW 750I
2. $50000.00/month
3. 2 year train others to free themselves with the internet.
4. 3 year – fund Christmas lunch for the homeless.
5. 4 year – Live at 13 Albatross Street Mermaid Beach
6. 5 year – set up overnight housing for the homeless.
Cheers
Andy
P.S Give us yell when your meeting with Monique – I’m down.
Good luck with purchasing the Z and the house mate.
What’s the strategy you and the accountant are working on?
Thanks for this poke in the ribs Andrew, I haven’t yet started to plan for the next year!
So:
(1) Get my online earnings up several notches to a regular $100 a day then $200 a day then…
(2) Pile up some savings and pay down debt
(3) Visit Melbourne maybe Cairns(again) too
All The Best
Alex
Reading all these goals makes me realize what a newbie I really am. I have just started internet marketing a few mo ago and have only made chicken scratch really. I am a stay at home mom / freelance writer who thought this would be easier than it really is, so my 08 goal is to not give up in frustration and to make $500/ month by year’s end. Doesn’t sound like much, but I’d certainly be happy with that my first year out.
Love your wave runner goal! Just rode one for the first time about 3 months ago. Too cool
My goal for 2008 is to generate $220,000 in annual income. That level of income provides me complete “peace of mind” as it allows me to live a life style I enjoy (lots of golf and some travel)
I enjoy your approach. Not sure why some IM people are more compatible with my style than others – but I definitely like your “style”
Thanks
Tex
I guess I have already met some of my goals in life, however I do have some age on a lot of you. I have the lincoln, and the house with a few extra homes that we rent out. But don’t get me wrong there are still plenty of goals. We have done all this on a very modest income. Just a matter of being frugal. It takes messages like this to realize how well off you really are.
My goal in life is to have enough income so we have no worries ever. And the boat we have been looking at. I plan on enjoying the rest of my life to its fullist. We are tight right now, everything is invested. But my feeling are – you only live once do it right. Time just slips away when you are not looking.
If you can believe in it you can acheive it. The secret to sucess is a positive attitude. Put out what you want to achieve with only positive emotions and you will get there.
I love your sites they have given me a lot of inspiration. And when I feel I’m not getting anywhere I reread one of your blogs. This puts the spirit back into me. Thank you for being there.
Anita
My biggest goal for the next year is the discipline to shut out all the distractions and focus on the steps that will get results. One of the tools I am going to try is called Mind Movies. It looks like a great way to help change the way I think. Beyond that, I would like to build my first profitable niche site and then duplicate that success. It would be nice to make at least $100 a day by the end of 2008. I have no excuse for not doing that in 2007 other than my lack of focus and execution.
Thanks
Victor
Like just about everyone else, I would like my internet income to increase about 4 thousand dollars/month.
Payoff my debts, renovate my house, employ my children in the business, set up my parents in an awesome seniors complex, buy my significant other a Toyota Tocoma, max out my retirements fund contributions. TAKE A VACATION!!!!
Hi Andrew,
Just wanted to use this opportunity to get a head start on one of my goals in 2008.
That goal being to say “thank you” to all the folks who have contributed value to my life. So….thank you
Andrew. I appreciate all the tips and information and
wonderful products that you have shared. Because of
the quality that you contribute I’m going to reach a couple of my other goals in 2008.
I’m going to finally, finally make enough income to quit
my janitor job and work from home.
My other goal is being a blessing to other people.
I know that many people have great hearts and desire
to help others, but simply don’t have the financial means to do so. This really gets magnified during the
holiday season. God bless you all and Merry Christmas.
Rick

“Prosper, find your purpose, be a difference maker”
My main goal for 2008 is to earn good money, and move out of my parents’ house and into an apartment or condo.
My intentions for 2008!
1. Turn my websites into REAL money makers!
2. Get the rest of the weight off my body that I don’t need anymore.
3. Test Out Firefighter 2
4. Become an EMT-Basic
5. Remodel my current home and sell it, for a bigger one!
6. Pay off my vehicle, and get my hubby a new truck.
WELL I could probably keep going!
Have fun.. and good luck to you all for accomplishing your goals in 2008!!
What an amazing post this has turned out to be.
I know already that I’ll return to this page many times through the year when I need a boost and I’m sure I’ll refer all of you guys back here more than once to remember what you wrote and check in on your progress.
The main thing I’m seeing from this is that lots of you are looking for ways to grow your incomes in small chunks, and I think that’s fantastic. Even reaching those goals of an extra $500 a month, $50 a day or whatever it is can make MASSIVE changes to the quality of your life.
I’ll work on putting some material together for you of that nature
Now keep those goals coming!
Andrew
Oh by the way another couple of things:
1. I had no idea so many Aussies were on my list!
and 2. This blog has already proven to be such a great way for me to get to know you guys! I mean I’ve been sending you emails but I never REALLY know how well you connect with them or what you’re really looking to hear. I’m digging the interaction so thanks alot!
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
It is great to be surrounded by positive people.
My goal for 2008 will be
-make all my websites a success- increase traffic, better contents and make $100,000
- be positive always and never give up when the going it tough.
I narrow my list gurus to help me and there aren’t many and you are definitely one of my Guru!
Thanks Andrew. Hopefully I can learn something different from you’re site to get that Z06
Hi Andrew,
Great post and thanks for the insight into some of what your are all about – good luck with the SeaDoo!!!
I have 2 major goals for the year;
1. To be earning $10000-00 per month from internet marketing by Dec 2008.
I want to achieve this by helping 1000 people to achieve a better level of health. I have just started my own blog as the first “public” stepping stone to achieve that.
2. To achieve selection in the Australian over 45′s veterans hockey side.
Good luck to you and all of your subscribers, this is a fantastic idea.
By the way my road to national selection is State championships in March at Bathurst NSW. Gain selection in the State side. Then if successfull off to the National Championships in July at Darwin Northern Territory.
So I will let you know how I go along the way. Better go and do some training!!!!
Regards
Steve
My goal for 2008 is to stick to my plan of buiding websites that will generate $100 a month in earnings. $100 might be pocket change to some, but for someone like me who has not earned any money over the last few years that I tried my hands at the internet business, it is a realistic figure.
ok Andrew you got it!
Specific goal:
Be making at least $100 a day by June ’08, and that’s my goal, because when I get there, I believe that I will definitely be able to reach any financial goal that I set for myself.
Stay focused on one concept (NEG) and not get side tracked.
Best of luck to everyone!
Hi Mate,
Nissan 350ZX, good choice.
my business partner had one for a while, damn good to drive!
not sure about the colour though, black cars get dirty real quick in the rain, but I guess that’s not so much of a problem for you Ozzies…
I’ve just spent a day doing the “brain dump” thing that John Reese did a video about recently, real useful, but it means I now have a very long “to do” list for next year…
I can dig out the url for the video and send it over if you want, it’s good and there’s no upsell or anything.
goals for next year that do spring to mind:
1. (i just thought of this one) have more subscribers to my blog’s rss feed than that Andrew Hansen bloke..
;]
2. quadruple my income online.
3. be able to afford to provide more cool free tools to my subscribers and help more people to quit their (to quote “Joe” above) “f_ing” job.
4. get more business more streamlined and automated so I can travel more and work, following Tim Ferris “4 hour work week” lifestyle. There’s so many places I want to spend time in here in Europe, let alone the rest of this little planet of ours…
5. spend more time going to seminars and meeting fellow internet marketers.
6. catch up with my (11 year old) son on Warcraft, or at least get him to write a new version of my Warcraft ebook!
lol! maybe thats why he’s ahead of me, too much time marketing, not enuff playing…
p.s. a quick suggestion for Greg, who’s comment is above somewhere, don’t cash that first check that you receive, save it and frame it. I still kick myself that I didn’t do that with my first check from online income…
oh, and when you get the next one, use half to re-invest in your new business and use the other half to treat yourself so you know all the hard work has been worth while, even if it’s only a pizza and a beer…
one last thought for Greg, just a suggestion, dont aim for $50 a day, aim for $500 a day, that way if you “fail” and only make $300 a day, you’re still ahead of the game…
never aim too low.
p.p.s. suggestion for Eric, print a picture of the studio you want and stick it on the fridge door, it’ll help remind you of your goal and keep you focused.
p.p.s. for Brian, try FileZilla, it’s easy to use and free.
I did a video on using it here:
http://www.mat4.com/videos/ftp-file-upload.html
(hope you dont mind the link Andrew! see, I’m already working on goal number 1!)
p.p.p.s. (last one I promise) For Jan – get your kids blogging!
my kids (13 and 11) are loving it, and I’ve not even explained Andrews PNP NM stuff to them yet!
sorry for the long comment Andrew, but you’ve started a cool thread here and there are so many comments I’d like to reply to!
and as you’ve started such a good discussion, you should probably now do a follow up on the importance of actually “taking action”…
;]
perhaps you should think about hosting a weekend workshop, not sure me and Brian will make it from the UK, but I’m sure Andy and Monique won’t be the only ones who want in…
Hi Andrew, Congrats on making your goals public. Now you’ll just HAVE to succeed.
My main goal for 2008 is to take a relaxing river cruise on the Rhine and Danube with my wife, Joanna. We’ve already booked the cruise, thanks to affiliate marketing. The big challenge will be delegating enough stuff so that we can relax and enjoy the vacation.
Hey Allan, good to hear from you mate.
The Rhine as in Germany? Sounds v. cool!
You’ll just have to pile Jay up with plenty of work while you’re gone haha! We’ll have to catch up for lunch in the new year too.
Talk soon!
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Another fellow Aussie here, I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW
Hope to catch up with you somewhere one day. All us Aussies should band together and do a seminar.
I already achieved some goals this year that were on my list, but in fact I didn’t think I would achieve them. So this year I am going to set them with more emotional involvement.
My goals for 2008. Writing them here makes me accountable so now there is no excuse.
Become laser focused on my Internet Business and stop wasting so much time and money looking at the next best thing. Realise my true direction on the Internet.
Increase my online income so I can reduce my part-time JOB to zero.
Be debt free with no credit cards, only a VISA Debit Card.
Sponsor 1 family per month for 12 months through http://www.peopleaid.org/ (I have already sponsored one)
Purchase a house in the Blue Mountains. I have to find the perfect one yet, but I know it’s going to have a beautiful view of the alley and be surrounded by trees. I currently rent one that is almost perfect.
Travel with my beautiful wife Cecilia to her home country, plus also visit some other countries we have on our list. We already have Vietnam booked for 2008.
Find a way to distribute these printers so I don’t have to store them in a warehouse anymore. I don’t care how much I get for them, I’m more concerned with simply moving them to someone who CAN do something with them. http://scrapbookingprinter.com/ oh and they aren’t just for scrapbooking either.
Hire a camper and travel around Australia for 3 months straight while using my laptop to continue generating an income and write a book a long the way.
Have some much needed work done to my teeth so I can smile with confidence once again.
Purchase the best Apple MAC and Adobe movie program so I can make some kick-butt videos of my travels around Australia, post them on YouTube and have 5000 subscribers.
Meet Robin Williams.
Never have to worry about a bill arriving in the post and trying to work out how to pay it.
Meet my children again after my first marriage split. This year it’s been 8 years since I last saw them.
When I achieve all the above it will be a life of “happily ever after”
Have an awesome day
Ian
My goal for 2008 is more modest…
I would like to make just 1 cent online, just 1 cent and I’ll be happy
In 10 months of trying different ways of making money online my earnings are….zero
If I can find a way to make 1 cent, then I can make 2 cents, then 4 etc
But that first cent is proving very elusive..
Best wishes to all for 2008
Robert
thanks for sharing well my goals are:
Reaching the Top 10 sites in the keyword “make money online”
Getting to the technorati top 5k blogs in the world
Earning 1000$ a month.
and many more which i can’t state here.
Hello Andrew,
Ideally my goals for 2008 will enable my being able to say to my wife that she can quit her job because now I am earning enough for both of us.
I must admit I’ve “huffed and puffed” at this making money on the internet lark for a couple of years now (at least!!) and still I seem to be treading water. I’ve spent countless hours all top of a full-time job.
I know that my biggest failing is getting too easily swayed by all the new product launches and opportunities (not all a waste of time because without my inquisitive mind I wouldn’t have come across NMOC, NEG and PNP). In fact it’s since getting involved with NMOC that I have become more focused and controlled – although I am not yet tearing up any trees. My first NMOC/NEG blog is beginning (www.simplegolfswing.org) to attract some regular traffic and at least I realise that this whole internet business is not a “get rich quick” opportunity.
However, I’m persistent and I will stick at it. My main goal is to be able to work when I want and be able to say to my wife “only work if you want to” I have always wanted to earn a passive income living, so what better way than an internet business. We have recently bought a property in Cyprus and our ultimate goal is to spend more time there. As I have said to my wife one day we will be able to jump on a plane and stay in Cyprus for as long as we like. Because I will have my passive income internet business nicely moving along earning enough to live on without having to work the ridiculous hours I am having to do currently.
Yes I can picture the scene clearly, work on my internet business for a few hours a day or so in a totally relaxed environment with virtually all round fantastic weather.
Oops I seem to have waffled a bit there. Anyway, that’s my main goal for ’08.
Regards
Frank
Hello to all,
This site was sure a breath of fresh air – thanks much. In ’08 I want my new company and I to SURVIVE. My first year lived up to routine billing – baptism by fire! I’ve been bruned but I’m wiser.
Happy and successful new year to everyone,
Joe
Hi to all,
I have decided 2008 is going to be my year after I feel I wasted 1 year, 2007 and did nothing. Bottom line is…
I am going to change my financial life in less than 12 months starting january 2008.
The car I am going to buy in two years is Ferrari F430 spider Red one. I have pictures of it, I dream I am actually behind the wheel and take the spin, I can hear the sound of the engine, I am visualising it.
Speaking of house, I am planning to move to sydney and I am aiming for $1.5mil house in nice quite suburb overlooking sydney harbor bridge and opera. I am not sydneysider but I am planning to call sydney my home. I fell in love with sydney after I spent 7 years finishing up my univ.
Next goal will be fly to QLD and meet you, ozi bloke, andrew personally and the same time enjoy vacation in gold coast.
Dream big and DO something big. That’s my plan.
Make More Money and Make It Happen!
