Analyzing Search Competition By Finding Idiots
- 9 Comments
Have you neglected to look for idiots in your potential new search markets? It might be costing you. See what I mean in the video below…
Hey, why don’t you like my website? I think it’s beautiful…Just kidding.
Cool video Andrew. It’s amazing how trash like that can even make it to page 2 these days. Just goes to show that applying the fundamentals and finding decent keywords allows the non-idiots to prosper.
Take it easy,
Kyle
Hi Andrew,
Good video. I can totally agree. I have recently built a large product page site and despite having done nothing different on each page, I have already ranked on page 1 of Google for search terms of over 400000, yet am nowhere yet for search terms of 30000. It does just depend on your competitions content etc
Thanks again
Jonathan
Hello,
Thanks for the tips! It is certainly something to consider as it is easy to jump into a market and try to rank quickly and suddenly find you failed to do your homework as you just pointed out. Great training.
Andrew I just love your competition analysis – any idiots? Go for it!!
Much better than Market Samurai!
Hi Andrew,
As usual great video and great content. One of the best places I have found to find “idiots” and plenty of them is in the “local” niche.I have found it easy to rank against some very large local companies simply because they are not seo savvy anf have had very little or NO online marketing training. Great market to exploit to the max.
Nice tip, Andrew, only one remark – when doing search results research on google.com I think it would good to logoff from your google account as you will see different results when you are logged on or of.
Great video, Andrew! Thanks! This is a super-easy way to get an understanding of the competition in the search results. Very doable and it works!
Hi Andrew,
Great food for thought and actionable content. This is something that I certainly had never considered, however I can see that it works and works well. This establishes my belief, that everything that we do must be to improve the potential customers experience of doing business online.
Onward
Marcus
Thanks Andrew. It’s something I have known all along in the back of my head but never really practiced it. No need to be afraid just because its a big number. Thanks again.
