  1. Nice job mate! I am surprised that this is not talked about more often. I’ve had great success emailing the affiliate manager directly asking to be reconsidered, but with all these tips, I may never need to do that again.

  2. Andrew – another outstanding post!

Getting approved by the various affiliate networks has always been, sort of a gray area to me. Kind of like, you “think” you know what you should be saying, but not really sure. Well, this clears up a number of points for me and I’m sure for a lot other affiliate marketers as well. These tips really will help make 2012 a better and more profitable year!

    Thanks for the inside information.

  3. Hi Andrew,
Hope you haven’t been blown awy by the wind…. As always useful information. I use Offer Vault that alos has a whole host of listings – 46,000 at the moment.

  4. It is always good to get your emails because they are so helpful.

  5. So far, I haven’t had too many problems signing up as an affiliate, though I do believe adangler.com did NOT accept me… and I’m betting for the many reasons you covered in your video, so THANK YOU for the tips you’ve freely shared here.

    Trish

    • Yeh Trish, I had the same problem with Adangler, but I followed Andrew’s advice and contacted them by email. After a couple of email exchanges, they approved my application. I got the feeling that they just wanted people who knew (or appeared to know) what they were doing when it came to affiliate marketing. If you really want to be apart of their affiliate program I suggest you contact them. :)

  6. Hey Andrew – Thanks again for the great info. I have had an issue a couple of times when applying to affiliate networks because I pay to keep my domain registration private. When they look it up it doesn’t match the rest of my info. In each instance, I’ve been able to call or send an email to the affiliate network explaining the private registration and then get the approval. I think engaging with the affiliate network, outside the application, even if it’s just a followup by phone or email, goes a long way to validating you as a real person.

Best wishes for continued success in 2012!
    Sue

  7. Thanks Andrew.

I’m in a couple of CPA networks but I had to endure interviews on skype for about an hour with each.

Hopefully the tips you’ve given us will make the process much easier.

I’m a Scot, so I was glad to hear you enjoyed your New Year in Scotland. Wish I’d known you were coming, and all the best to you and yours for 2012 :-)

  8. Hi Andrew
Great lot of useful information in this video. Evertime you put out a blog or video I learn something new.
    Thank you
    Neil

  9. Hi Andrew,

Thanks for this tutorial. I was declined by Neverblue recently and it was quite frustrating because they only give a cut-and-paste reply which is extremely vague as to why you may have been declined.

I’ve been accepted to several CPAs without problem since, and have followed this tutorial through and signed up with Ad Angler too. Fingers crossed!

    Best regards,

    Lex

  10. I can’t see your video on my iPad.

  11. Andrew – thanks for the very useful information. I’ve always wondered how easy or difficult it was to be accepted by other vendors. Best regards.

  12. Thanks, Andrew, for taking the time to make this video. I applied about a year ago to one CPA network, but after a phone interview and several days of waiting, I was rejected. At that time it dampened my spirits and I have stuck with easier affiliate networks to get into that aren’t CPAs. I sort of panic when I have to talk to someone on the phone about joining their network because I don’t have a lot of experience. However, you have encouraged me to try again. I now have more experience and education on affiliate marketing so with that and your explanations of what to say and what not to say, I am confident I can get accepted to some networks. It’s also encouraging to know that we shouldn’t get upset if we get rejected, but to move on to the next network or offer. Sometimes it’s hard to get over the hurdle of thinking the rejection is something personal. Thanks again!

  13. I never have problems applying for affiliate networks because I simply point them to a nice normal looking website. As long as they see I’m not being sketchy they will usually approve me. If they reject me I just give them a call and they will appreciate the extra effort.

  14. Great stuff Andrew – as always.

I have just heard about another way to get a bulk approval by affiliate networks and will try them out: VigLink and Skimlinks
Although they take a (smallish) slice of the pie it seems like a relatively painless way of registering for as many merchants as one can possibly do in one swoop.

  15. Thanks for the information Andrew, this was a really helpful video.

I was wondering if you still use affiliate link cloaking post panda?

  16. My experience so far has been no problem being accepted into affiliate networks. I did experience however some problems with CPA networks. They seem to be more picky. Keep working at it and follow Andrew’s advice. You should succeed get accepted, as I did.

  17. Hello Andrew.

Must say what a great video, lots of great tips on how to be accepted with various affiliate programs.

In the video you mentioned listing your oldest website / domain to help provide evidence that you have been in internet marketing for a while.

I recently applied to a network, listing one of my older sites, and l was not accepted because that site was not relevant to the product, which l can understand.

So in your experience Andrew what should you do,create a new website within that particular niche, then approach the various networks for approval.

  18. Thanks Andrew for the tips. I’ve had problems getting accepted to some of the CPA networks in the past. This video is really useful and makes sense. I’ll use them in my application for my next site.
